Day 1 *Luxor-El Minya
We are going to have an early morning start today. It’s a six hour long drive to El Minya. Once we get there, we will immediately start our city tour, which includes a visit to the Great Plain where King Akhenaton got his inspiration to built the city. Before we head back to drop you off at your hotel, we go for a late lunch. The evening will be yours to fill at your leisure. Overnight in El Minya
Day 2 *El Minya-Luxor
This morning you will travel 20 km south of the city to the ancient Egyptian cemetery of Beni Hassan is located. Its tombs date back to the Old and Middle Kingdoms. We will visit the tomb of Bakhet, the great chief of the Oryx Nome (Nome was a territorial division in ancient Egypt), the tomb of Khnumhotep, an official of Pharaoh Amenemhat III of the 12th dynasty and the tomb of Khety, a governor of the 11th dynasty. We will then move to the northern part of the cemetery, have our lunch at a restaurant and start our drive back to Luxor.
