Upon arrival, we shall ferry you to your first stop: the Pyramids of Giza. There you will set your sights on one of the most magnificent buildings you’ve ever seen. Khufu (Cheops) the great pyramid and its 2 smaller companions will take your breath away. Then its on to the Sphinx in his immutable guardian-of-all-he-surveys stance as he stands still and serene looking down upon the plateau. We will then stop at Pharaoh Khafre’s Valley Temple where his mummification took place. After lunch at a local restaurant, we shall move on to the Egyptian Museum, another repository of fantastic artifacts, consisting of jewels, furniture, everyday objects, mummies and more. We will go on to visit the Hanging Church in the Coptic district, a sight we cannot miss when in Cairo. It was built into the wall above the entrance to the roman fortress of Babylon, a truly strange feat of construction. On we go to visit the 19th century Ben Ezra Synagogue. And just before we leave to go back to Luxor, we shall drop by for a short spell and take a walk in that world-famous bazaar of Khan el Khalili.
