KARNAK TEMPLE - Lady Egypt Tours

KARNAK TEMPLE

Price Start From 50 USD

The gigantic size and scope of the place is truly magnificent and makes it hard to imagine how it must have been so many years ago. The sacred lake looks relatively small when standing next to it but aerial photos will show its size and grandeur.
It is recommended to make use of the services of a tour guide when going aound the Temple of Karnak. It is just too big, too complex and too daunting to attempt on one’s own. There is also a great story to its structures recounting the lives of the dynasties that reigned over the area and the destruction that affected some of its parts. Up to thirty pharaohs contributed to its construction. This has to be the only complex with so many obelisks and pillars, each with very well preserved hieroglyphics. The entire place with its ram headed sphinxes, Pharaonic statues and enormous pillars can be described as the very essence of Egyptians' aspiration to godliness.
Something else that is quite unique is the existence of the part of a ramp that archeologists believe was used during the construction of the temple complex.
On a clear day when standing in front of the Temple of Hatshepsut, one can see the Karnak complex. Very soon the original lane that connected the Luxor Temple to the Temple of Karnak will be reopened. It will be a historical day that can only be described as a restoration of the way of the Pharaohs.
