In the times of Ancient Egypt, there was a road that connected the Karnak Temple with the Luxor Temple. For those who have visited these sites in the last 20 years, you would only have seen a number of Sphinxes on the side of Luxor Temple. The rest of this road wasn’t clear to put into perspective.
This road is called the Kebbash Road and the Ministry of Tourism recently announced that it will be opened by March 2013 for the public.
Construction and preparations are well under way and soon we will be able to walk this avenue of Sphinxes in the same way the Pharaohs and their entourages used to walk them.
