Welcome to the land of the Pharaohs. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our agent will meet and assist you through customs and convey you to your hotel in Cairo.

Start your fantastic trip with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, see Cheops, the unique survivor amongst the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Later-on visit Saqqara and Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Then its free time until you catch the sleeper train to Aswan. Overnight on sleeper train. (Breakfast)

Arrival in Aswan, the ancient city of Swenett”. Check-in at hotel. Start your visit today with a tour of the High Dam and later a short boat trip will ferry you to the Temple of Philae, the center of worship for the goddess Isis, which attracted worshippers from all over the ancient world.

The original island is now submerged under the waters of Lake Nasser. In a spectacular rescue operation some years ago, the great temples and monuments of Philae were transferred to the nearby island of Agilkia.

Aswan looks stunning at night. Take your time in the evening and go for a stroll with the throng of Aswani residents along the Nile corniche or visit the souk with its hundreds of stalls and shops selling everything under the sun.

Sabah el kheir! This morning we offer you an optional early morning road trip to the magnificent rock-cut Temples of Abu Simbel, built by King Ramses II. It really is worth the drive, albeit a bit long, yet oh so worth gazing up at these surreal stone sculptures. Otherwise your morning is yours to fill as you deem fit. A stroll along the corniche, walk along the market stalls in the Aswan souk or visit to the Nubian Museum. Our agent is there for you to help you choose. In the afternoon, we will board our Nile Felucca and sail downstream for the next 2 nights.

En route stops will be arranged for swimming and visiting local sights.

Relax and enjoy the swaying of the waters. Let yourself forget the hassles of daily life and let the river, its sounds and sights take your imagination on a journey.

Disembarkation and tour of the Temples of Kom Ombo and Temple of Horus at Edfu.

Check-in 5* hotel. The afternoon is open. Tonight, you may choose the option of visiting Luxor Temple with dinner afterwards. This tour can be booked on the spot.

Overnight in Luxor (Breakfast)

Early morning is a good time to drift over Luxor in a hot-air balloon and enjoy the sunrise (optional). From high above, you look down upon ancient Thebes, with its surrounding rugged landscape and villages on the cusp of starting a new day.

Later on, we will be moving on to the West Bank of the Nile where we will visit the Valley of the Kings and the imposing colonnaded Temple of Queen Hatshepsut known in Arabic as “Deir el Bahary”.

Then back on the sleeper train for the ride back to Cairo. (Breakfast)

Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and assisted by a Lady Egypt representative, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Once settled in, you will take in a tour of the Egyptian Museum and will get a chance to catch sight of King Tut’s solid gold death mask. Oh what a sight! One of the optional extras we offer is the Royal Mummies chamber if you would like to learn more about the history of mummification and the significance of the “after life” in ancient Egypt.

Time for packing your souvenirs. Our representative will assist you in checking out of your hotel, then accompany you on your ride to Cairo International Airport. Ma al salama. Safe travel!
