Ahlan wa sahlan. Welcome to Cairo, our representative will meet and assist you through all formalities at the airport. He will accompany you to your hotel where you can enjoy your first evening in Cairo. (No meals)
Sabah el kheir! This morning you will be visiting the Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza. You will have the opportunity to ride a camel around the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Once you have finished this part onwards to the Papyrus Museum. We will make sure your evening will end on a splendid note with dinner onboard a Nile Cruise boat with a belly dancing show. Overnight at your hotel. (Breakfast, dinner)
On the way to the Egyptian Museum this morning, we will pass by Tahrir square where a big part of the scenes of the country’s most recent history was played upon. After the museum, our guide will take you to the Islamic areas of Cairo most notably the Citadel of Saladin and the magnificent Alabaster Mosque of Mohammad Ali. Lunch will be at a local restaurant then we head to Coptic Cairo home to one of the oldest churches in Egypt, the Muallaqa or the Hanging Church, built above the gate-house of the Roman Babylon fortress. Next stop is the Saint Sergius Church said to be the resting place of the Holy Family after they fled Israel. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast and lunch)
It’s onto Luxor today aboard a short flight from Cairo airport. Once there we will check you in to your hotel then our guide will take you to the East Bank to the old city of Thebes, now modern Luxor. Firstly we will drop by the Karnak Temple complex considered to be the largest complex of temples in the world. We will then proceed to Luxor Temple the large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River . The evening is free and yours to enjoy. Overnight at a Luxor hotel. (Breakfast)
Get ready for an early start so we can avoid the midday heat in the Valley of the Kings. There you will visit a number of tombs, as well as the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley of the Queens and the Colossi of Memnon. After returning to the East Bank you will get a chance to sail on a felucca and have some fun on Banana Island. You will return in the evening to your hotel for your last night in Luxor. (Breakfast)
Off we go to board an early flight to Sharm el Sheikh, Red sea resort on the Sinai Peninsula. One hour away from there we will reach Dahab, a resort named after its golden sandy beaches. For the rest of day, you will bask in the sun and explore the area at your leisure. Overnight at hotel in Dahab. (Breakfast)
A fun day in the sun awaites you. Take a 4x4 jeep optional tour safari in South Sinai, a desert region running along the coastline of the Red Sea. You will go on discover the canyon, the Valley of the Wings and the Nawames El Kon and enjoy a walk through the sand dunes. We will have lunch during the tour at the oasis with local Bedouins our hosts. Late afternoon we will head back to Dahab to drop you off at your hotel. (Breakfast )
Today is the day for watersports. You will get to snorkel and catch sight of the fantastic fish under the deep blue sea and in one of the most famous places in Dahab, the “Blue Hole”. Upon returning to your hotel sometime late afternoon, you will have the option to take a camel ride along the beach, around the blue lagoon. Return to your hotel. (Breakfast)
Early morning risers have the option to go to Saint Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest working monasteries in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
If you opt out of going, you may spend the day at your leisure. There are plenty of activities for you do do in Dahab - Water activities, the town and its shops, sun-bathing. Make the most of it you last night in Dahab! (Breakfast)
This morning we will head back by car to Sharm el Sheikh to board a flight to Cairo. Once back in Cairo, the day is yours to fill. Enjoy your last day in Egypt!(Breakfast)
